Adorable, both in text and illustration. I started just skimming the book and laughed several times, prompting me to go back and read it though. Narrated in first person by Floyd Peterson, a monster who doesn't like being called a Monster. The first part of the book is Floyd denying his monster status, even though he has a huge toothy smile that glows in the dark, howls at the moon, and hides in various places. Turns out he has excellent manners, and if you refer to him by his name is will no longer roar, or growl. I can not wait to use this in story time.
