I enjoyed this movie better than most of the recent Woody Allen offerings. Actually, I guess this is really a John Turturro movie: life in the Big Apple: New York city. Who knew there was a uniformed Jewish police enforcing behavior? And, the beautiful wife of the rabbi wasn't allowed to read books, and had to wear a wig called a Sheitel to cover her real hair whenever she went out of the house. All handled in this movie with a wry humor and "we all gotta live together" approach. Woody teaching the Rabbi's kids how to play baseball was priceless. A feel good movie.
