The Perfect Escape is a quick and exceptional book to read which you will thoroughly enjoy just like I did. The perfect escape takes place with a girl named Kendra is a teenage girl living with her brother, Grayson, who is diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Anything Kendra accomplishes seems like nothing when everybody always has their attention towards Grayson. The only way she can stand out next to her brother is if she does everything perfectly and correct. Feeling overshadowed by her older brother Grayson, whose OCD forces him to live a life of carefully coordinated routines, Kendra is driven to perfectionism until her reputation is tarnished by a cheating scandal that compels her to flee with her troubled sibling at her side. The story was an interesting plot, and well-told with beautiful emotional dialogue and adventure, It was interesting to see the sides with someone living with a person who is affected by OCD and someone who is diagnosed with OCD. 4/5 Stars. @PocketFullOfBooks22 of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board Kendra is a teenage girl living with her brother, Grayson, who is diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Anything Kendra accomplishes seems like nothing when everybody always has their attention towards Grayson. The only way she can stand out next to her brother is if she does everything perfectly and correct. Perfect grades, perfect style and being the perfect sister. But one day, a cheating scandal that Kendra is a part of gets exposed and can potentially ruin her chances of being accepted into her dream college. Kendra cannot take more of this perfection pressure, so she decides to put her hands on her steering wheel, with Grayson asleep beside her, and drives away from all her problems. However, during the road-trip, Kendra and Grayson realize that although their lives are much different, they have a lot more in common than they thought. This novel was very emotional and I seriously got sucked into the book. It felt as though I was a part of their road trip. I truly enjoyed the novel and it felt very real and natural. 4.5/5 stars - @CaptainBook of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
