When you think sexy thriller, you think Al Pacino. After the fiasco that was 1985's "Revolution," Al Pacino returned to the screen in this cop thriller with a romantic twist. While looking for a killer, Pacino gets involved with a sultry woman (Ellen Barkin). But what if she's the killer? There are some steamy scenes, but, again, Al Pacino is in them. Great actor, but I don't really want to see him in sex scenes, you know? Barkin is an actress who never really got enough good roles. The supporting cast is memorable: John Goodman, Michael Rooker, Richard Jenkins, and, don't blink or you'll miss Samuel Jackson as "black guy." It's pretty good, but very 80s. Written by Richard Price and directed by Harold Becker, who would direct Pacino again in "City Hall."
