Considering that I spent my childhood basically bingeing on all things English and nostalgic, it's astonishing to me that I missed the Brambly Hedge books, and only discovered them as an adult. I totally would have loved them as a kid, and I totally love them now -- parents, if you've done Beatrix Potter with your kids and you want something similar, look no further. This is it. Utterly charming.
