A remarkable book about a remarkable girl: Grace is clever, imaginative and goes after she wants: playing Peter Pan in a school play, even when classmates tell her a black girl can't. Grace's wise and loving mother and grandmother help Grace keep her eye on the prize.

When I was little I remember seeing it on Reading Rainbow now I got to read this to my daughter. Still a great story.
