Truckers is the first in The Bromeliad Trilogy (you have to read it to understand why it is called that), following the adventures of some very small people, living in the walls of a London department store, worshipping the office on the top floor as their god. But what to do when the store is about to close? How to leave everything they have ever known without big people noticing? What about that truck in the garage….if one of us leans on the pedals, and two or three on the steering wheel… Because the author is Terry Pratchett, this book is funny and touching both, a charming read aloud for anybody over about five, with enough poking at society to keep the adults chuckling.

Not as good as the Discworld novels, but still fun.
