A "must read"! Especially read the Gold Bug and the three stories featuring C. Auguste Dupin, where Poe invents the "detective" genre in literature (later developed by Conan Doyle in the person of Sherlock Holmes). Then there is a feast of the macabre and the ghoulish from one of America's best authors.
