A police comedy, part slapstick, set in Hong Kong with the classic Hong Kong flavor, so it is funny at quite a few points [I especially liked the corny janitor joke]. Featuring talented actress, Michelle Chen, from Taiwan [Republic of China] - - who gives a fine comedic performance, plus actress Liu Yan, whose every appearance on screen was a pleasant experience.
The martial arts are part of the slapstick comedy, so the Chinese school of theatrical martial arts was acceptable in this context. [Always detest this form: physics-impossible forward motion backflips, flying and the chronic forward strike/stop action -- or pause -- allowing the opponent to catch and hold, or trap, when normally one would immediately retract one's arm or leg -- probably one of the many reasons why Bruce Lee's entirely different on-screen fighting style was so insanely popular in Hong Kong when it first hit the theaters there.]
Jet Li does comedy well.

Watchable, but actions for Jet Li is not as great as his other movies.

I liked this film. It was pretty funny watching Chines folks bitching at each other. I especially like their casting of the "crazy beast dude" from "Kung Fu Hustle" (I always wondered what happened to that guy).

$100 for the person who can give me a more specific and reasonable reason why this movie sucks

A few times this was funny, but mostly cheesy slapstick comedy (some of the sound effects were just too much); dragged on a little too long. Jet Li was present, but was not really the star of this. This wasn't a martial arts flick; the fights were just too fake, and as a comedy it was pretty lame, but still it was fun to watch Michelle Chen, Cecilia Liu and Ada Yan eat up the screen.
