The house is historic, and some say haunted. It is also slated to be razed and replaced by condos. Hannah Smith has been hired by a wealthy Palm Beach widow to prove that the house's seller didn't disclose everything he knew about the place when he unloaded it, including its role in a bloody Civil War skirmish in which two of Hannah's own distant relatives took part. Hannah doesn't believe in ghosts. But some dangers are real. And the most deadly of all may be human obsession.

Good book with Hannah as the star. Some humour which is always nice.

I made it to the end, it wasn't
easy. the main character
HANNAH SMITH did nothing
for me.
Sorry this novel is not one you
should look for.

I've come to expect more from RWW. His Doc Ford books are all fascinating. This was little slow and hard to get into.

There are no sharks in the book, but if there were I think Randy Wayne might have jumped it with this book. Not up to the standards he set for his Doc Ford and other Hannah novels.

Ok read, not great. Not much to do with the house, as I hoped. Most time spent in the swamps
