Interesting movie about a secret relationship between Diana and a doctor. Something she managed to (mostly) keep hidden from the press. Very intriguing, if not a little bit sad.

I have seen horrible films before, but so far this takes the trophy of the "Worst Film Depicting History." This film summarizes the last two years of Diana's life before her death in Paris: briefly, her divorce with Prince Charles, her romances with Dr. Hasnat Khan and Dodi Fayed (more so on the former), and her work on stopping landmines. This movie depicts Diana as a clingy, manipulative and insecure woman instead of the loving, kind, and compassionate Princess that many had known her to be. There is no in-depth look on her humanitarian work nor her passion to end landmines (it is only touched briefly) nor of the tragedy of her death at a young age. This film was loathed by many critics (even Dr. Hasnat Khan who had briefly dated the princess in 1996) because it doesn't depict her truthfully. It is watchable, I suppose, but cringe worthy simply because of the portrayal and disrespect the movie gives the late princess. Give it a pass, I give it 1/5.

Not much to say about this one. DIANA was a disappointing film that boils down to bitterness over an unhappy marriage and divorce combined with the overbearing flood of paparazzi. We've beat all the dust we can out of this rug. Can we let her rest in peace now?

This movie is fair to present positive and negative sides of Diana. I can understand the dark side. As a human that is repercussion from what she was cheated in marriage life. It may not be her nature though.

I was not impressed with this movie. I don't like Princess Diana quite as much as I used to.

This was interesting, but I don't know how true-to-life it is. I've since read articles that mention that Hasnat Khan was very against the making of this movie and said it was not accurate about their relationship. Naomi Watts does a good job of capturing Diana's mannerisms and way of speaking but the plot is a bit thin.

The movie was nice but could've done a lot more to highlight the turmoil in her life with her husband, family and the media. Didn't really like Naomi Watt's portrayal of her either. This movie intrigued me to look elsewhere for better recounts on her story.

I fast forwarded trough half of it and it was till too long. Poor me I'm a princess (useless pampered royal brat).

Naomi Watts is a very fine, lovely actress, but I don't think she was a good choice for the part. For starters she's a decade older than Diana was during the affair in question (and it shows), and she's a lot shorter than Diana. A few inches might be reconcilable, but a half a foot is rather too much to overlook in a character known as much for her stunning looks as anything else. There really isn't a whole lot new when it comes to the story, but the attempt to film it was in itself interesting and I can't say I'm sorry I checked it out.

Hasnat: Love is a garden. If you can't smell the fragrance, don't come into the garden of love. (Complete verses: If you can’t smell the fragrance
Don’t come into the garden of Love.
If you’re unwilling to undress
Don’t enter into the stream of Truth.
Stay where you are.
Don’t come our way.)
Diana: - Who said that?
Hasnat: Rumi. Persian poet. 13th century. "The garden of love."

Diana: "Somewhere beyond right and wrong there is a garden. I will meet you there." I will meet you there.
(Adapted from Romi's poem: “Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’
doesn’t make sense any more.”)
