I have checked out this book multiple times and I love that it has so many styles in it. I found most of the styles pretty basic, but they did label them from beginner to expert. I would recommend this book to anyone with straight hair and for curly hair I would recommend a little bit of experience before trying most of these hairstyles because they would take a lot more effort to get what you want out of this book. I would give this book a 5.

I love this book! There are tons of styles, ranging from easy (french braid) to hard ( french fishtail conch bun), and they all have beautiful photos and step by step instruction of how to do them. This is a good book for anyone!

It took roughly three years, but my hair is finally long enough to do fun things with it. There was only one problem...I didn't know how to do hair. This book was very useful for learning how to do basic, everyday hairstyles. The instructions are easy to follow and there are minimal tools for most styles. Each hairstyle has a difficultly rating so you know ahead of time what you are getting into before you begin. I'm still not a hair expert, but at least now I can do more than just ponytails.

Great Book for Styling the Hair. Step by Step pictures make it easy to understand and work with.

I fully admit that I take approximately 15 second to do my hair in the morning. If I’m going somewhere nice in the evening I might add another 30 seconds. I don’t like to spend my time with a hot iron or wand pressed against my skull and I’m not a fan of sticky product and goop. That’s what makes braids and buns so nice – they can be simple, speedy and goop-free. This book offers great pictures and easy to follow steps. Each hairdo is rated by difficulty level so I can just skip right over the challenging ones. The author, Christina Butcher, has a website called Hair Romance (www.hairromance.com) that includes video and print tutorials. I recommended this book to anyone who has moderately long hair. I literally just did one of the styles right now in my usual 15 seconds. The video tutorials are under 5 minutes - even for me, these seem possible!
