Really enjoyed reading this. I thought the writing was excellent, though her detailed descriptions of everything sometimes found me skipping words to get on with the plot. I am not a typical sci-fi reader but the overall story was worth it.

Great story, hints the great stuff coming in her "Legends of the Guardian King" series. Hancock puts unexpected, unique fantasy/sci-fi elements into her stories. And, of course, her characters are likable and interesting.

sometimes it's scary the way we read each other's mind. I admit I enjoy his company. I respect him to death, and I've trusted him with my life more than once. But that's not love.

...If that's not love, what is?

Hope is a temptress. And it hurts so much when it dies, after a while you learn not to let t in.
