The New York Times bestseller is now a major motion picture starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco, in theaters this July!

A high-stakes online game of dares turns deadly

When Vee is picked to be a player in NERVE, an anonymous game of dares broadcast live online, she discovers that the game knows her. They tempt her with prizes taken from her ThisIsMe page and team her up with the perfect boy, sizzling-hot Ian. At first it's exhilarating--Vee and Ian's fans cheer them on to riskier dares with higher stakes. But the game takes a twisted turn when they're directed to a secret location with five other players for the Grand Prize round. Suddenly they're playing all or nothing, with their lives on the line. Just how far will Vee go before she loses NERVE?

Debut author Jeanne Ryan delivers an un-putdownable suspense thriller.

What consequences await a person when they are so ready to jump on the idea of instant stardom by doing everything online. Stop and think!

The story line is really good and gripping, but it is so full of sex talk and stuff like that that I didn't finish.

Vee signs up for NERVE a game that challenges players to do dares and take risks. She has never been a risk taker, but suddenly she feels the need to prove herself. As the dares get more risky, Vee begins to fear for her safety. This book has recently been made into a movie. It has an interesting premise, but I wasn't always convinced of Vee's reasons for doing the dares. She knows they are risky, but still takes the chances and finds herself in even deeper. The book was good, but not one I would rave about. It does keep the reader on edge, wondering what the next dare will be and how far they will really take it.

I wanted to read this cuz I was interested in seeing the movie based on it. For me it was really good and I actually loved how it took a darker turn. Seemed like she left it open for another which I would jump to read too.

The ending was unexpected, almost disappointing...

Vee competes in an online truth-or-dare game, earning lots of followers and admiration along the way--until she finds herself in the high-stakes final round.

A really interesting book. The plot was unique and fast-paced (most of the dares took place in one night). The author kept me hooked till the end. I liked how the beginning and the end tied in together.

NERVE is fascinating and entertaining adrenaline rush that I just could not put down and had me on edge until the very last page. The main character, Vee, is lured into an online game of dares that get more and more risky with bigger and bigger prizes. I really found myself getting caught up in her trials and triumphs and rooting her on. That the premise is happening in part now, and part of which could take place in the not too distant future, makes the book that much more fascinating. I put in on par with Hunger Games. One of my favorite books in recent memory.
