I enjoyed this book very much, but without saying too much about the story, I didn't care for the ending. While I like a book series, I do like the book to have a definite ending. Then you go on to the next. But that isn't the case here. But all in all, it is a great book to read.

You are introduced to Leila who has a unique gift(curse) and her backstory how she received her gift. Now she is twenty-five and is kidnapped in order to catch a vampire? But her situation changes drastically where she is now on the run and must survive or be caught by the enemy. Meet Dracula and his backstory and his unique gifts. Not what I expected, but it is an intriguing way to get to know Dracula. Enjoyed the story-telling and fantasy.

Loved this storyline just wish it hadn't ended in a cliffhanger. Hate having to wait another 9 months to see how the story ends. I will be on the waiting list for it as soon as its available. Another great read by Jeaniene Frost.

All Leila wanted was to be a gymnast but after a terrible accident, that dream ended and she was left with the power to electrify a person with just a touch and see their deepest secrets. She's come to terms with living life alone but everything changes after she's kidnapped by a gang of dangerous vampires and told to find the vampire who can control fire and has no mercy for his enemies. Vlad Tepesh, yes that Vlad Tepesh, doesn't like being spied on and when he gets his hands on Leila, he realizes that she's not the enemy but a beautiful and strong woman who calls to him like no one before. Using Leila's extraordinary ability, they work together to locate Vlad's enemy before he finds and destroys them both.
