Eh. Too many twists and turns (especially at the end) that did not make sense, and were all totally obvious. DeVito's character would have been offed right in the being (hence no film... exactly), not to mention the "munchkin" played by the obnoxious dude from 'Galaxy Quest', who would have been killed 42 times during the course of the movie. OTH, why would they have left Hackman's character alive at the end??? And it doesn't make sense she would turn, at that point.

All that said, Mamet decided to get a bunch of guys from 'Get Shorty', and make a movie. Still fun enough for an occasional time waster. i.e., not the worst, but could have been SO MUCH BETTER!

We liked the movie but my girlfriend was very disappointed with the ending.

VERY GOOD 2001 David Mamet movie. It is very Memetian - maybe David called it 'Heist' since he snatched the plot and then dribbled it back scene by scene. I did enjoy the production/acting, etc. Well worth a watch, IMO.

What a silly movie! Full of cliche tough guy talk, and the goofy Bogart accents (or is it Telly Savalas?) is a nice touch.... baby!
Pass this one by, save the 2 hours! Or borrow it to watch some great actors do fine silly acting!

Everyone did a good job on this film and it had plenty of suspense, plenty of twists and turns to surprise the watcher.

Good heist film. Well written, although some of the lines seemed to be delivered deadpan. Something was missing from making this a very good movie, but it served its purpose. Plot twists and grey area morality. I really liked Hackmans character.

Twists and turns, but mostly predictable. Only one was really interesting. Neither Hackman nor Devito do their best acting.

Crackling little yarn with snappy dialogue and more twists than a snake with St. Vitus' Dance. Remember: don’t tie your shoes without a backup plan!
