A trilogy of stories set in the same house--with different occupants and spanning over 40 years--examines three women, the common crisis of an unexpected pregnancy, and the wrenching decision to have an abortion. In 1952, abortion is illegal. A widowed nurse deals with her unexpected pregnancy by taking drastic measures to obtain one. In 1974, a happily married woman, the mother of four children, discovers that she is pregnant again. Now she must choose between losing her lifelong dream and terminating her pregnancy. In 1996, a Catholic college student finds herself pregnant as the result of an affair with a professor. She decides on an abortion, but does not realize what it means to go through with one, while society rends itself asunder with violent protest.

This DVD movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. Not too bad---good performance. Very predictable but still entertaining.

I am reviewing If Walls Could Talk 2, which I just watched. The first part, 1961 was disturbing, and sad, yet I am sure true. The 2nd part, I didn't get, the third part with Ellen and Sharon Stone, was my favorite. Specifically the funny parts.

To say I was disappointed in this would be an understatement. I had heard this was the movie to see, from what the reviews said. I finally saw it at one of the libraries I was visiting, and checked it out. Maybe the professional reviewers were paid to wax poetically about this movie, but I was left in a depressed funk that I wasted my time watching this. While, truthfully, it was okay, I found the scripts to be very sophomoric, like they were a high school or college screen writing class or creative writing class. It was boring and not worth watching. Sure, it explores abortion, but I found it very boring and predictable and its a been there, done that topic. Others might find this exceptional, I did not. Oh, well, that's why I like checking out stuff from the library free. That way, if I don't like it, I don't kick myself for wasting good money on bad movies.
