The history of art from the perspective of how it reflected and influenced society - and continues to do so. Contains beautiful scenes from all over the world, combined with evocative music and thought-provoking commentary.

Worth a look for its overview on religeon and art alone. Some of its speculations may seem a bit of a stretch, but its all good for stimulating one's own thoughts about art and human consciousness,.. and social control . (6-26-14: 0)
