This is an exceptional book that would be an excellent resource for anyone who is or knows someone who has Alzheimer's. It is the authors believe that ingesting coconut oil or MCT oil will not only aid with Alzheimer's but other conditions such as Parkinson's disease, Huntingtons, ALS, certain cancers and traumatic brain injuries. Coconut oil is readily available and from the testimonials received by the author it would seem that many have seen significant improvements in their loved ones. The basis behind the coconut oil is the ketones that are created when ingested and used as an alternative source of fuel by the brain. While the author has many opinions which I don't entirely agree with there are just as many that caused me to pause and re think. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, ended up purchasing my own copy and am ready to make coconut oil a part of my diet.

I have found this book captivating. No one in my family has Alzheimers.I just became fascinated with the theory. Reading it took me far back to my University days in Chem and Biochem labs. I did read it from cover to cover, including the sections Mary thought some might like to skip. These pages describe the working of the chemical processes in the body, which in a way was a review for me. I hope you will give these pages a try. This has opened my mind to new theories. Nothing in life is static.
