Sixteen-year-old Neva has been trapped since birth. She was born and raised under the Protectosphere, in an isolated nation ruled by fear, lies, and xenophobia. A shield "protects" them from the outside world, but also locks the citizens inside. But there's nothing left on the outside, ever since the world collapsed from violent warfare. Or so the government says...

Neva and her best friend Sanna believe the government is lying and stage a "dark party" to recruit members for their underground rebellion. But as Neva begins to uncover the truth, she realizes she must question everything she's ever known, including the people she loves the most.

It starts off with the typical teens rebelling against their parents rules but, then develops so much further. One girls fight to find the missing and struggle with the rules of society, where girls must marry and have children as soon as possible, has her going against the government. Add in her love for her best friends boyfriend and backstabbing friends and you have an amazing futuristic storyline that kept me at the edge of my seat and couldn't wait to finish. Only thing I had issue with was the ending, I felt like there could have been more, maybe a potential sequel?

Okay first all, i got to say this book was awesome. The book did start off slow but it picked up fast. I was going to stop reading it but it got interesting. I am happy i kept reading. I like the way the author put the characters in a future world and to me after i finished reading it the book did remind me of the giver by Lois Lowry with the way the book is in the future. I didn't like the end of the book because i don't think the author should have ended the book the way she did but that's only an opinion. The book was a great story. It made me feel like i was in that world every time i read it. As soon as the book picked up to a fast and exciting speed i couldn't put it down. Great story :)
