"Paco is a Spanish shoe salesman - husky, handsome, and irresistible to women. Nino is a Russian drifter - slight, sensitive, and unlucky in love. When the two men's paths collide on a French roadway, it causes a chain of hilarious events that strips Paco of his car and his job and send Nino into the hospital. With no money and no direction, the odd couple hitchhikes across the countryside. But after several misadventures, including a madcap escapade involving a chainsaw, a wheelbarrow, and one very angry farmer, the two outsiders begin to forge a lasting friendship" -- Container.

A simple and light French entertaining movie (1997). Far from real, the charcters are made for the screen. The cause of two men is to find a mate in series of adventures. Women are passive and carry scars of past victimization by men. Events are predictable and views of French countryside are charming. The movie will resonate well with those who are singles and looking. However the story is technically expired in the time of personal ads and internet.

I like many French films, but this one didn't ring my bell. It takes place in Bretagne and you see a lot of the countryside there which is interesting. I found the characters bland and, well, stupid. If they charm you, you may have quite a different experience.

Really funny and enjoyable, love how the two main characters want to be what the other is. Paco is good wth women but wants to be in a stable relationship and Nino is loyal but wants to have better luck with them.
