I love using different voices for all the people who try to put the prince to bed. A great read-aloud book!

Awesome, my 19 month old wants me to read it to him every night before going to sleep..the illustrations are gorgeous, rich and the characters are very well etched!

A new classic is born. All the fun elements, plus an "obvious" surprise at the end - how can one go to sleep without it!

My 3-year-old really enjoys this one. The rhyming text is well done (not trite) and the illustrations are interesting. There is enough rhythm and repetition that kids can anticipate what comes next (and participate gleefully in the Waa! Waa! Waa! part!) but not so much that it becomes deadly boring for the adult doing the reading. A rare balance!
