One of my favorite readalouds for preschool and elementary storytime. It has social-emotional elements, positive friendships, and whimsy.

Grumpy Bird wakes up grumpy and we can all relate to that, can't we? His grumpiness goes away. How? Kids and parents will chuckle by the end of this charming story.

It was about a grumpy bird who is walking.

Bird wakes up grumpy and doesn't feel like eating, playing, or flying today, so he decides to walk. Along the way, many of his friends decide to keep him company. When he stops, they stop. When he jumps, they jump. By the end, Bird forgets about his grumpy mood and just enjoys being with his friends. Colourful illustrations.

This is a fantastic read-aloud. It is very funny, has a great rhythm, and a great positive message. I have asked children to make super grumpy faces when we start, and they have obliged with hilarious results. Children and parents are always smiling by the end. Truly charming and delightful. The bright colourful pictures complement the story nicely.

A goofy story that is sweet but all the animals flying at the end was a little silly. My toddler loves reading this book. He also likes that it is a good story to practice his sign language for grumpy, the various animals, and he adds happy at the end
