Great Book
In this modern age of revived respect for royalty this book offers a refutation, reminding us that royalty is to be resisted.
The Queen wants Emily Browns Bunny, after offering inducements and trades The Queen steals the Bunny (as we know all royal ownership happens through theft), Emily goes to the palace , only to find that the fools who work for The Queen have made the bunny into something not quite himself, Emily takes the bunny and explains how love adds to the character and intangible value of a possession.
A good book about saying no to arbitrary authority.

This is one of our favorite picture books. Deserves to be more known in the US. A great pick for reading in your kid's classroom too (I've done in K and 1st)

What horror! The greedy Queen demands Emily Brown fork over her beloved stuffed rabbit, Stanley. Not so fast, says Emily, with her continuous stubborn rejections of the Queen?s trade offers. This believable-yet-imagined fantasy will appeal especially to toy-lovers.
