MacBride is an excellent storyteller.
He manages to interweave every storyline with grittiness, violence, dark humour and very foul language! Afterall, he writes crime novels.
If you don't mind that, the suspenseful stories and characters are worth the read.

3rd book by Scottish Noir author, Very enjoyable read. Start with the first ( Cold Granite ), if you like that one then you will like this one. Very gritty storylines yet still laugh out loud. Not great literature but just something fun to read.
