The now-deceased author wrote ten books and this is the first to be translated into English; it is not a mystery, but much more of a thriller; the main characters are well developed but some of the lesser characters are two-dimensional and the police are so tangential as to be unbelievable; but I did go on anyway to read the other one that’s out in English.
