Excellent family movie! My kids loved it! It's a classic I watched many times as a kid!! I'm sure the whole family will enjoy it, rent it today!!! P.S. It should be 4 whole stars
Technically, this isn't the greatest movie ever--partly because the child actors are, uh, shaky.
But I sob like I'm five again every time. Even thinking about it makes me sad, and since I lost my own cat of old age, the ending is even harder to cope with. It breaks me. And I love it. Every moment of it. The music, the animal "acting," the voice work, the comedy, the drama, the landscapes. All of it. (Except that "I hate you, stepdad!!!1!" acting from our main boy character, but it's the 90s--nothing is perfect.)
I missed watching this movie in the 90's. I just saw it today. Very sentimental and cute.
Very good book lots of fun; always made me cry and I'm a adult and want to watch it again :)
My 18-year old son refuses to watch this with me, because we both cry. The golden retriever in the movie portrays every "golden". Very loyal, obedient, and charismatic. A must see for animal lovers, families, and anyone who enjoys a classic!
Very well done and highly recommend it. Good humor. Great for kids and the young at heart.
One of my fave movies when i was a kid. I really loved how the animals could talk and there was no odd animation making their mouth move then one of them talked. This is a great movie for kids (and adults) who love animals. You don't want to miss this!
Wonderful tale about 3 animals finding their way home after being separated from their owners. Beautiful story, funny script.
Children who adore animals will love this movie and want to call your next dog shadow.
