A patron review from the Adult Summer Reading Game: If you're looking for a book that combines drama, travel, interesting characters, cheese making and life choices...all wrapped up with a thick layer of comedic humour, then pick up this novel from our library for a good read. Set amongst the rolling hills of Ireland, two people collide between cows, rind and heartbreak. This book will be hard to put down at night - and may also make you want to sneak off to the fridge for a good chunk of cheese!

3.5 stars. This was a middle-of-the-road book for me. I didn’t dislike it, nor did I love it. It was a fairly fun, quick and charming read with some magical realism thrown in for good measure. The main protagonists were kind of boring, but the supporting cast of characters carried the story well.

The story starts off slow, yet I found myself warmed up to it.
