One of the best books about trucking to the north, it describes the journey through the eyes of an experienced trucker and the author as they deliver goods to northern communities. The wildlife they meet, and the sights that they encounter are stunning. The description of the northern lights is astounding. As well, I have always wondered what it was like to drive on the ?ice highways? that are created every winter on the lakes and rivers only to disappear come spring. The most amazing photo I found in the book is the aerial shot of what looks like a tropical island with inviting green seas around it. It turns out that this is a photo of Tuktoyaktuk in the summer!
