The third novel in Greg Iles trilogy of the South. I read a Washington Post review which called this series the most important American literature of the past 50 years. I can’t disagree. Readers will want to begin with Natchez Burning.

The third installment of the Natchez Burning trilogy lives up to the rest while maintaining the family driven theme. While not quite as powerful as the first two books, we learn far more about Dr. Tom Cage whose court trial begins, the…

In for a penny in for a pound. Book 3. I find the most annoying characters to be Penn Cage and his family who are the good guys. They drive me up the wall and I find myself actually rooting for the bad guys cause at least they are…

So much better than the diabolical, hate-filled book II. This concluding book of a trilogy did a decent job of tying up loose ends, but you could feel the author wanting to continue writing more books with the lead character and his…
Not having read the first two of this series, took sometime to get to know the personalities. Fantastic book. Hated for it to end. Would definitely give it 5 stars

A doubt slipped in while I was waiting for my turn. What if the author simply fell apart and the story flopped. No disappointment when I finally read the book. EXCELLENT!! The trilogy was well worth reading.

Iles is a master story teller. This is a great book and a part of a great trilogy. He has the ability to describe the south in such a way that you feel you are there.

I am a Greg Iles fan. The NATCHEZ BURNING trilogy, of which MISSISSIPPI BLOOD is the last book has been a great read and this book is every bit as engaging, entertaining and thought provoking as the first two. It is a bit different…

Mississippi Blood the last book in Natchez Burning trilogy was worth the wait. I had a hard time putting this book down. The story gave us enough back information from Natchez Burning and The Bone Tree to help us remember back events that…
