For children and teens in grades 5 to 8.
Participants will explore how to use technology to mimic the unique echo location capabilities of different mammals like whales, dolphins, and, of course, bats. Using a micro:bit processor and its associated ultra sonic sensor, the participants will learn block coding skills to write a small program to measure distance using echo location concepts.
Presented in partnership with Red Hot Science at Red Deer Polytechnic.
Program needs a minimum of 4 registrants in order to run.
