Stories, rhymes and songs for babies (ages birth to 18 months) and their caregivers to support literacy, play and socialization skills!
UPDATE: In response to the latest public health measures from the Government of Alberta, RDPL will not be running any indoor in-person events until further notice. But fear not! Our Early Literacy programs will still be running outdoors (weather permitting). So bundle up and join us for some fresh air fun! (registered participants only).
REGISTRATION: All Early Literacy programs will require registration for the Fall sessions. Fall sessions will run from October 4 to December 17. Please indicate how many children ages birth to 18 months will be attending (do not count parents/caregivers/older siblings). Each child between 0 and 18 months who will be attending must be registered, with a maximum of 10 children in each program. Online registration will open September 1, 2021.
Note: older children can attend with their caregiver and sibling without having to register.
Help us to relaunch our in-person programs safely! Please note that MASKS ARE REQUIRED for all Red Deer Public Library visitors, staff, and volunteers (with the exception of children under two years of age), as part of the Government of Alberta's new mandatory health measures. Visit rdpl.org/covid19 for details. If you or your child has a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath, please do not attend the program.
